To give it the credit it deserves, here is the entire build-up to Gary Roberts' first half goal against AFC Bournemouth, which included 48 completed - even if not consecutive - passes.
The Blues left their Premier League opposition chasing shadows as they knocked the ball about in confident fashion, which has been a hallmark of their play under manager Paul Cook this season.
Despite a couple of interceptions, Bournemouth were unable to get their foot on the ball long enough to thwart Pompey's possession and in all they completed almost 50 passes before Roberts eventually found the back of the net.
It all started with a Ben Close interception and ended with Roberts, rather fittingly, passing the ball into the Bournemouth net for the lead.
Perhaps most importantly, all eleven players touched the ball for Pompey in the move.
